Rush
Rush
Rushing Phi Chi Theta is one of the best college decisions you could ever make. We are currently the largest co-ed professional business fraternity at Ohio University and are committed to the growth of business, building friendships and giving back to our community. Our fraternity consists of a large network of brothers from different backgrounds and diverse interests. Every semester, we are proud to host a wide range of professional and philanthropic events, as well as a number of social events.
We will provide the tools necessary to develop yourself as not only a student but as a person. We help our brothers to interact and work with others, express ideas, share experiences, and enhance overall communication skills. We are always searching for individuals who will positively impact our fraternity and encourage you to rush. If you are interested in learning more about the business world, helping the Ohio University campus, and building friendships that will last a lifetime, come join us for Spring 2020.
In order to rush, you must have a minimum GPA of 2.5, and must not be a member of another business fraternity. All majors are welcome and encouraged to rush!

Phi Chi Theta consists of members interested in all areas of business who are driven to develop their professional skills. Members benefit from resume critiques, mock interviews, internship panels, etiquette dinners, and regular professional networking opportunities. With frequent interactions with members of the professional community, members of Phi Chi Theta are afforded the opportunity to gain a valuable network that stretches across all industries.
Members are able to work with and get to know companies through panels, social events, resume critiques and philanthropy events featuring recruiters and employees from alumni and family employers. Annual events such as Founder's Day and Business Olympics offer members invaluable networking and professional development opportunities.
Giving back to the local community is an important aspect of Phi Chi Theta's organizational philosophy, and we take on a busy philanthropy schedule every quarter. We strive to lend a helping hand both on campus and in the Athens community.
The PCT calendar is filled with various philanthropy events, always giving members a chance to be actively involved in the community:
Balls for Balls: This fundraiser was started up by PCT member Dani O'Brien in honor of a friends battle with testicular cancer. This meat-ball eating contest brings a large crowd and lots of fun.
Skate for the Schools: Every Spring PCT puts on this fundraiser to support the public schools in the Athens area. Members, friends, student families, and community members join at Bird Arena for a night of fun on the ice.
Relay for Life: Every spring PCT participates in Ohio University's Relay for Life. PCT members and families raise money for the cause then spend the night walking the OU track.
Pumpkin Fest: This fun event is held in the fall to provide local kids a place to partake in Halloween activities. We help kids carve, paint, and decorate their pumpkins. We’re also involved in painting faces, working the haunted house, and participating in any other activities that we can help with. This is usually our most popular Philanthropy event during the fall season.
Spring Baskets: Another favorite fundraiser is our spring basket philanthropy event. At this event our members make baskets filled with toys for children in the Athens Community School District. Our members really enjoy this event because we get to go to the schools and interact with the kids.
You name it, Phi Chi Theta has it!
The PCT Schedule is filled with a variety of social events such as tailgating, Formals, pledge parties, camping, BBQ's, Moms and Dads weekends - and so much more! With a campus as big as ours, it's important to find a group of friends that you can call a family, and we pride ourselves on the tight-knit nature of our organization.
Want to take a trip to Chicago with your best friends and network with top notch companies? You can with Phi Chi, as we take an annual trip to Chicago to meet and network with some of the most successful companies in the country.
You like sports? So do we! PCT regularly plays football on the Quad, and few things get us more pumped up than our annual Biz Bowl, Biz Olympics and PCT Olympics competitions. We also compete in just about every intramural sport offered on campus.
Our social schedule is filled with events that make each semester more fun and memorable than the last. Its not just our events, however, that make our social pillar so great. The people you meet as a Phi Chi Theta member are what make our organization so special, and our social events help build friendships that will last the rest of your life.
